“End time is nearer than you think” – Adeboye warns, laments arrest of RCCG pastor abroad
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the founder and leader of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has narrated a heartwrenching tale of how one of his church’s pastors who plies his trade overseas was picked up by the Police over a remark he made in public.
Pastor Enock Adeboys disclosed that his pastor was arrested by the Police after he addressed a gathering using the phrase ‘ladies and gentlement’.
According to him, his pastor sounded offensive because ‘ladies and gentlemen’ meant he was discriminating those who don’t fall in these two category.
He shared this during the church’s monthly Thanksgiving service at the Throne of Grace, RCCG‘s national headquarters in Lagos.
“The end is nearer than you think. Things are getting worse, and this is a wake-up call. One of my pastors abroad was arrested for simply addressing a gathering as ‘ladies and gentlemen.’ Some people reported him for discrimination, asking, ‘What about those who are neither ladies nor gentlemen?’” he stated.
The religious leader also shared another appalling story of how a woman referred to a do as her husband.
“I took him to the vet before coming. He doesn’t talk,” describing her “husband” as a dog.
He lamented the depletion of our moral values and attributed these encounters as part of the end time signs.
“Those of you already in Christ, take this matter seriously. Do not let anyone weaken your stand. God is holy. Those still playing church—singing, clapping, and enjoying things without genuine commitment—remember, Jesus is coming back.
The devil wants to harvest you, but you must not give him the opportunity. I want to see you in my Father’s house,” he stated.
